Another Xmas Tree!

These ladies really dived into the Christmas Spirit.  This was a Sew-a-long organized in Spain.  The way you choose your fabrics really makes things sparkle, don't you think?

Embroidering music

Nowadays we download music with just a click but I still enjoy the pleasure of going through the CD companion booklet this one was such a surprise.

The album is called PIRATA written and performed by the Brazilian contralto singer Maria Bethania. By the way she's Caetano Veloso's sister.

The embroideries on the booklet depict the lyrics of each one of the songs.  They were embroidered by Antonia Zulma Dumont, inspired by drawings of Demostenes Vargas.

Doll Quilt Swap 7 recap

I hadn't been able to post a photo of the adorable quilt I received from Tanya Williams in Melbourne Australia. I simply love the fabric she used and I will find the perfect spot to display it.  I am showing you again the little butterflies quilt that I sent to Holly in Utah.

Just looking...

I made this adorable owl on a snowy day.

Fun  Fact:

Owls' eyes are fixed in their sockets.

Owls are unable to move their eyes within their sockets to a great extent, which means they must turn their entire head to see in a different direction. Because owls have forward-facing eyes, they have well-developed binocular vision.  Ten Facts About Owls From Silent Flight to Symbols of Wisdom Laura Klappenbach, About.com
